E. TANK UNIT

REMOVAL

CAUTION

Unless replacement is necessary, Tank unit, fuel

level sensor should not be removed from the tank

since the rubber parts i.e. gasket, seals etc. may

harden when exposed to air and light.

Never apply an excessive force to the tank unit

nipple or lead wire. This may result in bent or poor

contact.

1. Relieve fuel pressure in fuel feed line.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Fold the 2

row Seat and somersault it to

access the in tank pump cut out.

4. Lift the carpet with foam at the cutout.

5. Remove mounting screw and open fuel

inspection cover.

6. Disconnect the electrical connection of the fuel

pump module.

7. Disconnect the fuel delivery line and the return

line connecting fuel pump module.

8. Using Special tool (5412 5890 4701) unscrew

the cam lock plate.

9. Hold the fuel delivery module, lift it in vertical

direction so as to access the Quick connector

and snap fit.

10.Disconnect the line which carries the fuel from

passive side to active side by means of

dislodging the snap fit provided at pump

retainer.

11.Disconnect the QFC joint which carries fuel

from active side to passive side.

12.Remove the in-tank pump from the tank

carefully.

NOTE

Make sure breather line Quick connector is not

getting stuck during fuel tank removal.

Seals and gasket not to be reused.

FITMENT

For fitment follow removal procedure in reverse.
