8. FLUID

FLUID DRAIN AND FILL

The transmission does not require scheduled

maintenance and should be performed only as a

result of revision operations for control /

replacement of internal components. Therefore in

all other operations of removal and installation,

gearbox oil is to be reused.

CAUTION:

Possible foreign bodies in the container or in the

storage area can compromise the reutilization of

the manual gearbox oil.

The transmission oil collection and its storage

before re-use should be made with a clean

container with a protective cover.

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the transmission fill plug and check

that the oil level is just below the bottom edge of

the fill hole.

3. If oil level is low, add the recommended oil

(Vehicle Recommended Fluids/Specifications).

4. Remove transmission drain plug to allow the oil

to into a suitable drain pan.

NOTE:

Do not spill any oil because the indiscriminate

dispersal of the product contributes to pollution.

5. Clean, then install the drain plug and tighten to

the proper (Torque Specifications).

6. Check that the oil level is just below the bottom

edge of the fill hole.

7. Clean the filler cap and install it in the

transmission.

FLUID LEVEL INSPECTION

Remove the transmission fill plug and check

that the oil level is just below the bottom edge

of the fill hole.

If oil level is low, add the recommended oil

(Vehicle Recommended Fluids/Specifications).

Clean the filler cap and install it in the

transmission.
