8. HORN
LOCATION
Horn is located in front of the car, behind the front
bumper, on frame-radiator support and chassis
PINOUT DETAILS
REMOVAL OF HORN
1. Open the bonnet.
2.
Remove the front grill.
(For procedure, refer
Body section removal process).
3. Disconnect the connector from horn.
4. Loosen horn-mounting fastener & remove Horn.
INSPECTION OF HORN
Connect the positive terminal of the horn to battery
(+) and negative terminal to battery (-). If a clean
and sharp sound is heard, the horn is OK. If no
sound is heard, check continuity of the horn coil
using a multi-meter. If the coil is OK, check the
settings of the setting screw. Adjust the setting
screw till a clean and sharp sound is given out.
REFITMENT:
For refitment follow the procedure in reverse.
