F. ON VEHICLE TIMING CHAIN REPLACE-
MENT PROCEDURE
Removal:
1. Disconnect battery.
2. Drain engine coolant.
NOTE: Drain the coolant when engine is cold or
else it may cause personal injury.
3. Remove auxiliary belt (refer 3.1.2.2.2) and power
steering pump. (Refer power steering pump re-
moval procedure / steering group of Indigo
Manza)
4. Drain engine oil. (Refer engine oil replacement
procedure / 1.3L Quadrajet of Indica Vista)
5. Remove the bolts (1a) and remove the support
(1b).
6. Cut the crankcase sump sealant using the tool
(3) part no. 287158900663 (Blade)
7. Remove the crankcase sump (4).
8. Remove the nuts (2a) and the bolts (2b) secur-
ing the crankcase sump.
9. Remove the bolts (1a) and remove the crank-
case oil sump partition (1b).
10. Remove “A” mount from vehicle by loosening all
its mounting fasteners.
11. Carefully support the engine.
12. Remove mounting fastener of assembly idler
using T50 torx socket.
