ENGINE 1.3L QUADRAJET (90PS)

101

The latter receives power and earth signals from pins

15 and 32 of connector V of ECU and sends a signal

to pin 41.

Water in fuel & fuel temperature Sensor (K101)

The water in fuel & fuel temperature sensor is

powered from fuse 20A. Earth to the sensor is from

pin 1, 2, 3 of connector V of ECU, It receives a

reference earth for fuel temperature sensor from pin

13 of connector V of ECU and sends a fuel

temperature signal to pin 61.

Turbo Pressure & temperature Sensor (K82)

This sensor is not available in 75ps version &

available in 90ps version

The Turbo pressure & temperature sensor K82

measures the pressure and the temperature in the

intake chamber, downstream of the turbocharger. It

is supplied by pin 23 of Connector M of ECU and

receives a reference earth from pin 24 of Connector

M. A signal corresponding to the pressure level is

sent to pin 41 of Connector M of ECU, the signal

corresponding to the temperature is sent to pin 37 of

Connector M.

Rail Pressure Sensor (K83)

Fuel pressure sensor K83 supplies the ECU with a

feedback signal to modulate injection pressure and

duration.

It receives power and a reference earth from pins 8

and 6 of Connector M of ECU; it then sends a

pressure signal to pin 38.

Lambda Sensor (K40)

This sensor is not available in BSIII application &

available in E-4 version

Lambda sensor K40 sends signals to pins 44, 45

and 47 of connector V of ECU while pin 46 supplies

a reference earth. Sensor K40 is heated by a coil to

ensure efficient operation even when cold. The coil

is supplied by the line of fuse 15A and receives an

earth signal from pin 12 of connector V of control

unit ECU.

Rail Pressure Regulator (DRV) (N17)

The fuel pressure regulator on the pump N17 controls

the high pressure produced by the actual pump; the

two control signals come from pins 4 and 34 of

Connector M of control unit ECU.

Solenoid EGR Valve (EVRV) (L30)

The EGR solenoid valve (EVRV) L30 is supplied by

a line from fuse 15A which goes to pin 5 of connector

M of ECU as well and is controlled by a signal from

pin 15 of Connector M of ECU

Injector (N70)

The engine management control unit sends the

command to the injectors N70 from pins 16-47, 17-

49, 31-48, 1-46 of Connector M of ECU for cylinders

1, 2, 3 and 4, respectively.

Brake Switch (I30)

Pin 92 of connector V of Engine control unit receives

a signal from brake light switch (I30) - NO contact –

which is provided with an ignition-controlled power

supply from fuse (10A).

Pin 68 of connector V receives a signal – from NC

contact – of brake light switch (I30), which is supplied

with an ignition controlled supply from fuse (10A).

Clutch Switch (I31)

Pin 90 of connector V of Engine control unit receives

the signal from the clutch switch (I31).

Vehicle Speed Signal for EMS :

The Engine Control unit receives this signal through

pin 93 of vehicle connector, from the instrument

cluster.

System self-diagnosis (Kline) connector (D29) :

The Engine Control unit is connected to System self-

diagnosis connector (R10) through the pin 10 for K-

line diagnosis.

Instrument Cluster (E50)

The Engine Control unit drives the following in

instrument cluster

Max water temperature lamp through the pin 75 of

connector V of ECU

Engine RPM Signal through pin 29 of connector V of

ECU.

Glow Plug Heater Lamp through pin 52 of connector

V of ECU.

Self Diagnostic Lamp (service) through pin 77 of

connector V.

EOBD lamp (MIL) through the pin 78 of connector V

of ECU.
