P060A- 07: Safety Microprocessor– Integrity failure

Customer Symptom
Transmission Fault Lamp ON,
No gearshifts ,
Sudden shift to neutral while driving
Vehicle not cranking
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
No gearshifts ,
Sudden shift to neutral while driving
Vehicle not cranking
Lamp Status (If Any)
Transmission Fault Lamp ON (depending on conditions of
occurrence)
Fault Detection Condition
This fault gets detected after Ignition On when the Main
microprocessor detects a health problem in the safety
microprocessor.
Normal Operating Condition
The Main microprocessor monitors and detects health status
from the safety microprocessor.
Probable Trouble Area
TCU damage
Healing Condition
Next power ON after valid safety microprocessor health
Component Details:
The Problem may occur due to an internal damage to TCU.
Preliminary Checks:
1) Battery voltage
2) Check for damage or back out of pins at TCU connectors.
3) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis (tightness, corrosion of mounting bolts etc.)
Trouble Shooting:-
Step Checks
IF YES
IF NO

Check Battery and Ignition supplies at pins
1,3and 5 respectively. Both are correct?
Go to Step 2

circuit schematic

Is there any pin back
out/damage/rust/oxidation observed on
TCU Connector?
Clean or repair or replace
connector
Go to Step 3

Fault Still Persists?
Replace TCU
Follow the steps again for
reconfirmation
DTC’s confirmation:-
After rectification, clear all DTC’s and ensure the following points by referring TCU parameters using TML diagnostic tool
before handing over to customer.
Drive the vehicle through all gears in both Automatic and Manual modes
Ensure no DTC is active and Transmission Fault Lamp is OFF.
