1.4 HEAD LAMP - LOW BEAM

1.4.1 Description

Low beams have stricter control of upward light, and direct most of their light downward, to provide safe

forward visibility without excessive glare or back dazzle. The headlamps (low beam) are ON when the

headlamp selection is in Low Beam Position.

1.4.2 Conditional Requirements

Activation –

• IGN is ON or ACC is ON &

• Head Lamp ON switch is activated.

Deactivation –

• IGN is OFF or ACC is OFF or

• Head Lamp ON switch is deactivated or

• Vehicle is being cranked

On Fault –

MID BCM logs respective DTC.
