WIRING HARNESS REPAIR MANUAL 90 The red colored outer cover is the secondary lock of the connector, also please notice that the slots are given in the connector for insertion of the tool. We need to insert the secondary lock removal tool in the provided slot and slide the lock out. After removal of secondary lock, we need to insert the primary lock removal tool in the desire cavity with proper orientation of the tool. Once tool is inserted we need to take the wire out from the back. While inserting the primary lock removal tool, we need to take care of the locking lances of the connector which might get damaged if we apply unnecessary pressure during insertion and if we are not using the proper orientation of the tool. The secondary lock needs to be taken out using the secondary lock removal tool as shown. The primary lock removal tool needs to be inserted in the terminal cavity as shown above.
