WIRING HARNESS REPAIR MANUAL 82 Please note that since this connector is mounted on engine body so it is equipped with sufficient locking and wire supporting mechanism to prevent any irregularity due to vibration and heat. First of all, its back lock needs to be taken out using the secondary lock removal tool by knocking it out. Once the back lock is out, the secondary lock is slid laterally (along the transverse section) using the secondary lock removal tool to take it out. While removing the secondary lock we need to take care of the plastic locks of the connector which might break in careless handling and creating a major problem. After removing the secondary lock, please lift a little the plastic lock resting over the terminal lance and take the wire out from the back. On close observation of the open mouth side of secondary lock in connector, you will find a hitch which holds the connector near its base.
