BCM REPLACEMENT STRATEGY:
Note:
BCM to be replaced only when it is confirmed that
there is some Hardware failure after
troubleshooting.
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Locate the BCM ECU. Refer for location of the
BCM.
3. Remove all the BCM ECU connectors.
4. Remove the old BCM ECU.
5. Fix the BCM on “A” pillar RH bottom side area.
6. Connect all the BCM ECU connectors into their
respective sockets.
7. Ensure that all connectors are fitted tightly and
properly. (proper locking of each and every
connector has to be ensured)
8. Connect the battery.
9. Connect the diagnostic hardware to OBD
connector.
10.Turn the IGN ON.
11. Open relevant Diagnostic tool from laptop/PC.
12.Read the DTCs and clear all the DTCs from
BCM ECU with the help of diagnostic tool.
13.Perform the following diagnostics activities
a.
Read HW, SW part numbers and its version
numbers of BCM ECU and compare against
server
b.
If upgrade required or mismatch with part
numbers, then flash the BCM ECU with latest
software. Afterwards follow the above step
again.
14.Learn the RKE (remote key) as per below
mentioned procedure
a.
Unlock the vehicle and open the driver door.
b.
Turn ON->OFF->ON Ignition 6 times within 6
seconds and observe flasher feedback. Two
flashes of Left - Right Indicator Lamps and
Telltale outputs that indicates BCM entered
into Remote key learn mode.
c.
During 10 seconds time period, press both
Lock and Unlock buttons of Remote Key
simultaneously.
d.
BCM shall flash Left - Right indicator lamp and
Telltale twice. In parallel, doors get locked and
unlocked.
e.
Learn next Remote Key as per steps c and d, if
required.
Note:
Maximum four keys can be learned.
Care to be taken that no other remotes are getting
operated nearby while learning the remotes with
subject vehicle.
On learning of new remotes old remotes that are
paired with vehicle will be erased from BCM.
f.
On exiting learning mode, BCM shall give
single long flash.
