P062F- 07: TCU EEPROM Tuning Data Alteration Error
Overview:
ISO Code
P062F- 07
Customer Symptom
Transmission Fault Lamp ON
Sudden Shift to neutral while driving
Gearshift malfunctions
Fault Effects (On Vehicle)
Sudden Shift to neutral while driving
Gearshift malfunctions
Lamp Status (If Any)
Transmission Fault Lamp ON
Fault Detection Condition
This fault gets detected during TCU power ON, if
Self tuned data stored in EEPROM is found altered.
Normal Operating Condition
EEPROM integrity is valid
Probable Trouble Area
TCU damage
Healing Condition
Immediately after detection of valid EEPROM integrity
Component Details:
The Problem may occur due to an internal damage to TCU.
Preliminary Checks:
1) Battery voltage
2) Check for damage or back out of pins at TCU connectors.
3) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis (tightness, corrosion of mounting bolts etc.)
.
Trouble Shooting:-
Step Checks
IF YES
IF NO
1
Check Battery and Ignition supplies at pins
1,3and 5 respectively. Both are correct?
Go to Step 2
rectify harness
connections as per the
circuit schematic
2
Is there any pin back
out/damage/rust/oxidation observed on
TCU Connector?
Clean or repair or replace
connector
Go to Step 3
3
Fault Still Persists?
Replace TCU
Follow the steps again for
reconfirmation
on:-
the following points by referring TCU parameters using TML diagnostic tool
before handing over to customer.
Drive the vehicle through all gears in both Automatic and Manual modes
Ensure no DTC is active and Transmission Fault Lamp is OFF.
