9.6.3 TAILGATE LATCH CABLE
REMOVAL:
1. Remove the rear seat completely (Refer R+R
rear seat).
2. Remove the C pillar lower end.
3. First remove the carpet on the left hand side
of the vehicle so that the cable routing is
visible.
4. Remove parcel shelf, parcel shelf support.
5. Remove tailgate sill cover.
6. Pry out the cable mounting clips.
7. Disconnect the end of cable from the Tailgate
release lever and the latch (tail gate latch
removal)
8. Pull the cable free from the vehicle.
NOTE:
Follow the above procedure for RHD
vehicle, only the right hand side of
carpet needs to be removed.
FITMENT:
1. Route the cable as shown in fig passing
through the cutout in the tailgate sill inner.
2. Connect the end of the cable to the tailgate
release lever and the tailgate latch through
the opening in the tailgate sill.
3. Fix the cable in place using its clips
4. Fit the carpet finally.
5. Fit the C pillar trim bottom
6. Fit the rear seat over the carpet.
7. Refit parcel shelf.
9.6.4 FUEL LID CABLE REMOVAL:
NOTE:
Before pulling out cable ensure to tie
suitable thin wire at the cable end.
1. Pry out the front seat lower trim to remove the
cable end from fuel lid and tail gate release
lever.
2. Remove the cable at fuel lid end.
3. Remove the lid from assembly fuel filler
housing.
4. Pull out the cables until u get to see thin wire.
5. Now disconnect cables to be replaced with
the thin wire.
