3A.1.5.2.3 SINGLE FUEL MANIFOLD PIPE
(FUEL RAIL)
The single fuel manifold (rail) is fited to the intake
side of the cylinder head.
With a volume of around 20.5 cc, this dampens fuel
pressure fluctuations due to:

pressure pump operation
Q
injector opening.
There is a fuel pressure sensor (2) fitted on one side
of the supply manifold (1) .
The hydraulic connections (high pressure) between
manifold-pump and manifold-injecors are via steel
pipes with a bore of 2 mm and external diameter of
6 mm.
3A.1.5.2.4 FUEL METERING VALVE
Function:
The function of the fuel metering valve is same as
DRV in 75Ps to regulate the pressure inside common
rail based on ECU command.
Operating pressure: 4.5 to 6.0 bar (Absolute)
Operating temperature: - 25°C to 70°C
Pin out details:
The two control signals come from pins 4 and 20 of
connector M of control unit ECU.
