SUSPENSION

SUSPENSION

INTRODUCTION

The front suspension of TATA SAFARI STORME

is an independent suspension arrangement. In this

arrangement each wheel is a separately

suspended unit connected to the chassis. The rise

and fall of one wheel does not affect the other

directly. As a result, each wheel has the ability to

maintain a level position regardless of the position

of the other front wheel. In addition independent

front suspension improves the ride quality and

handling of the vehicle. A spring over shock

absorber assembly is used in front suspension with

wide upper and lower wishbones. Front wheel

alignment is by means of eccentric bolts provided

in lower wishbone mounting.

At the rear a five link suspension is used with

telescopic shock absorbers and coil springs to

ensure a smooth ride.

Anti-roll bars at front and rear contribute to

excellent road holding.
