4. Brake Pedal Switch

It provides the information about the brake pedal

status to EMS. The cruise can be cancelled when

brake pedal is depressed.

5. Clutch Switch

It provides the information about the clutch pedal

status to EMS. The cruise can be cancelled when

clutch pedal is depressed.

6. Vehicle Speed Input

EMS receives the vehicle speed input from Wheel

speed sensor in case of ABS/ESP vehicle. EMS

internally converts the wheel speed to vehicle

speed in kmph

.

NOTE

In non – ABS vehicle, vehicle speed sensor gives

vehicle speed input to EMS.

7. Cruise buttons on Steering wheel switches:

A. RES(

ACCELERATE/RESUME)

ACCELERATE (

+

)

The set speed can be increased using ‘+’ (

to

increase

) button on Steering wheel. The set cruise

speed increases by 3 km/h every time the ‘+’

button is pressed. Keeping the button pressed

increases the speed continuously till the button is

released.

NOTE

The set speed can also be increased by

depressing the accelerator pedal till the desired

speed is achieved and then pressing the SET

button.

RESUME (

RES

)

Cruise speed can be resumed by pressing this

button. Cruise speed can be resumed if cruise

control is cancelled by depressing Clutch or Brake

Pedal and pressing the CANCEL button on the

steering wheel. To resume the previously set

cruise speed, accelerate the vehicle to a speed

above 35 Kmph and press RES button.

NOTE

Cruise speed can not be resumed if cruise control

is cancelled by rotating cruise switch on combi

switch.

B.SET (

COAST/SET

)

COAST (

)

The set speed can be decreased using ‘-’ (

to

decrease

) button on Steering wheel. The set cruise

speed decrease by 3 km / h every time the “-‘

button is pressed. Keeping the button pressed

decrease the speed continuously till the button is

released.

NOTE

The set speed can also be decreased by tapping

the clutch or brake pedal, (The cruise indicator will

go off) and slowing down to desired speed and

then pressing the SET button (The cruise indicator

will come ON again).

SET

The desired speed can be set by pressing this

button. First activate the Cruise control by rotating

the cruise switch to ON position, which is located

on right stalk of combi switch. Then attain the

desired speed manually and press the SET button

on Steering wheel to set the Cruise Speed.

C. CANCEL

Cruise control can be cancelled by pressing this

button.

NOTE

If the EMS is unable to maintain the cruise

speed in an uphill gradient then it will come out

of the Cruise mode.

In case of ABS / ESP Wheel Speed sensor

failure the cruise control will be cancelled and

the MIL Lamp will turn ON.
