INTRODUCTION
Occupant Restraints are provided in a vehicle to
protect the occupants in case of collision. SAFARI

.
“Primary restraints system”
includes the seat
belts which are designed for controlled occupant
movement during an accident. This reduces the
risk of hard contacts with vehicle interiors.
“Supplementary restraints system (SRS)”
is
the
inflatable system with airbags & seat belt
Pretensioners which are designed to further
enhance level of occupant protection in accidents.
It is designed to be used in addition to seat belts
which help to protect against head and chest
injuries in certain moderate and severe frontal and
front angular collision.
