SUPPLEMENTARY RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS)
INTRODUCTION
Occupant Restraints are provided in a vehicle to
protect the occupants in case of collision. ZICA
has come up with options of
“Primary Restraint &
Supplementary Restraint systems”
.
“Primary restraints system”
includes the seat
belts which are designed for controlled occupant
movement during an accident. This reduces the
risk of hard contacts with vehicle interiors.
“Supplementary restraints system (SRS)”
is
the
inflatable system with airbags & seat belt
Pretensioners which are designed to further
enhance level of occupant protection in accidents.
Relevant SRS module assemblies in ZICA are
provided for protection of occupants in case of
front accidents.
