TATA SAFARI (Petrol) is powered by 486 PL engine
which produces 135 ps @ 5630 rpm and a torque of
195 Nm @ 3750 rpm.
Tata 486 PL engine is a spark ignition, Multi Point
sequential fuel injection, water cooled petrol engine
with (DOHL) (Double Overhead Cam) valve
mechanism.
Fuel injection and ignition are controlled through
intelligent microprocessor (ECU) programmed to
give best performance under all operating
conditions.
