Remove rubber bellow fromcollar of base plate. Loosen

lock nut or spacer and remove gear shift lever knob.

Take out rubber bellow.

Remove screws and take out clamping plate of rubber

bellow bottom.

Disconnect exhaust pipe frommanifold end and main

muffler.

Note: Do not touch the exhaust pipes and silencer

(muffler) if they are hot.

For 4x2 vehicles

Disconnect propeller shaft from gear box end and

remove center bearing mounting bolts.

Unscrew and remove the nuts of the center bearing

bracket on the cross member.

Slide the propeller shaft side ways and support it

suitably.
