This document specifies Aggregate Numbering System for major aggregates used in different models of TATA
vehicles. Aggregate numbers are punched on various aggregates identification and are used for warranty/field
complaint analysis etc.
If an aggregates is common between different models of vehicles, the aggregate number allotted for the first
model is used for all other models, e.g. FRAMES.
Certain aggregates are designed independent of vehicle models and their aggregates numbering systems are
also not linked with the vehicle models e.g. ENGINES
1SYSTEMLASTTHREEBARRELS indicate the year of production, Plant location and theSerial no. ofaggregates.

Third (third from the last) barrel is of two digits and indicates the Year of production as given below :
