Loosen nuts and removeAssembly gear case cover -

Front. Take out main shaft & Counter shaft bearing

play adjusting shims from cover and keep them

properly.

Loosen and take out reverse Idler shaft mounting screw

from housing - Front half. Ref Fig. 26

Pull out plug and then take out detent along with spring.

Loosen the reverse idler mounting screw. Ref Fig. 27
