The Instrument cluster receives
Vehicle Speed Signal from sensor mounted on
transmission. It buffers this signal & send it to EMS
system.
The instrument cluster receives signal from
Engine temperature sensor which manages the
bargraph/gauge
Engine oil pressure
Water in fuel signal fromWater in fuel & temperature
sensor
Immobilizer (E51) : -
Immobilizer system is designed to prevent vehicle
theft by electronically disabling the engine starting
system. The engine can be started only with vehicle’s
original immobilizer ignition key, which has an
electronic identification code. The Engine Control unit
is connected to Immobilizer via CAN through the pins
40 & 64.
Vehicle speed Sensor (K57) :-
It is mounted on transmission & is connected as
follows,
Power @ pin 3 from main relay
Earth @ pin 1
Signal output @ pin2 to Instrument cluster
Reverse Lamp Switch (L34) :
Powered from Ignition switch
Driver Information system (E51) : where ever fitted -
The Engine Control unit (pin 7) provides Fuel
consumption PWM signal to Driver Information
system.
