4.2.2.3 ON VEHICLE PROCEDURES
A. GEARBOX REMOVAL
1. Drain the GB oil.
2. Remove the Transfer case (For Procedure refers
transfer case removal in Transfer case section).
In case of 4X2 vehicle remove the propeller shaft
(For procedure refer Propeller shaft removal in
Propeller Shaft section).
3. Remove the Gear shifter knob and bellow. (For
procedure refer Body section).
4. Disconnect the reverse light switch connection.
5. Remove the vehicle speed sensor.
6. Disconnect the crank angle sensor connection.
7. Remove starter motor ((For procedure refers
Starter motor removal procedure in Electrical
Section).
8. Disconnect the earthing cable.
9. Drain clutch fluid from system.
10.Remove high pressure pipe (HPP) from bleeder
adaptor.
NOTE :
Precaution to be taken to avoid dust/dirt
entry in open ports of HPP and bleeder adaptor.
11.Support the Clutch housing and gearbox mount-
ing cross member from below.
12. Loosen and remove the clutch housing mounting
bolts on Engine.
13. Disconnect the wiring clips on the gearbox
mounting cross member.
