NOTE

4. Note down the initial reading on the steering wheel

and start depressing the clutch pedal till the

difference in reading on the measuring tape at the

point of reading is 115 ~ 120 mm.

5. Hold the clutch pedal in that position & adjust the

stopper bolt such that the pedal does not go

beyond that position and lock the nut.

(e) Clutch Pedal Free Play Adjustment

1. For adjusting the clutch pedal free play press the

clutch pedal using a finger till some resistance is

felt andmeasure the distance (The free travel should

be in the range of 18 - 21 mm).

2. If the play is more or less than recommended then

adjust it using the cable adjusting nut at the

transaxle end.

Once adjusted, the free play of the pedal ( i.e., 18

– 21 mm of pedal travel) causes the clutch release

lever at the transaxle end to have a travel of 2.5 –

3 mm.

3. Hold the tape in the centre of the rubber pad and

pass the tape through steering wheel and take the

reading at the steering wheel as shown in fig. 8.

6. After adjusting, reconfirm the clutch pedal stroke.

7. Ensure complete engagement & disengagement

of clutch on vehicle.

8. Assemble the cable end to the clutch pedal hook.
