SEAT BELTS

Before servicing or replacing seat belts refer

following precautions :

1. Seat belts should be normal relative to strap

retractor and buckle portions.

2. Keep sharp edges and damaging objects away

from belts.

3. Avoid bending and damaging any portion of belt

buckle or latch plate.

4. Do not bleach or dye belt webbing. (Use only mild

soap and lukewarm water to clean it)

5. When installing seat belt anchor bolt, first hand

tighten the bolt to prevent cross threading.

6. Do not attempt any repairs or retractor

mechanisms or retractor covers. Replace defective

assemblies with new replacement parts.

7. Keep belts dry and clean at all times.

8. Replace belts whose webbing is cut or otherwise

damaged.

9. Do not put anything in to trim panel opening

through which seat belt webbing passes.
