INSPECTION OF TMC AND INTERNAL

PARTS

1. Visually examine the bore of TMC for scoring,

ridging, wear or pitting. In absence of these the TMC

can be rebuilt with the genuine spare parts kit. If in

case of slightest doubt on the bore condition, like deep

grooves or score marks in the bore, then it should be

replaced with new TMC assembly.

2. Examine both the pistons for rust, ridges or burrs.

Ensure both the pistons are in good condition and

also free from the above conditions.

3. Examine seal support area on secondary piston

(as shown in figure) for scoring, rusting, ridging or burrs,

if it is free from the above conditions, this TMC can be

rebuilt with TMC Minor repair Kit.

4. Dip the piston assemblies and reservoir grommets

supplied with the Major Repair kit. (The Major Repair

Kit consists of both Primary and Secondary piston

assemblies) in the fresh brake fluid. Also lubricate the

TMC bore with fresh brake fluid.
