CAUTION :

(a) Eared clamp must be placed at correct position

while crimping i.e. it should be crimped at the solid

or outer portion of tulip joint. Do not crimp the

clamp at the depression area of the joint (as shown

below) as this will decrease the clamping load,

which may lead to grease leakage and/ or intrusion

of water/debris.

(b) Do not squeeze or distort boot when crimping it in

boot clamps. Distorted boot caused by squeezing

air may reduce its durability.

9. Crimp both boot clamps (large and small) (6 and

9) with the help of crimping tool. (Part No. 2704

8. Align the spring with the groove of the joint.
