Inspect and clean the air filter element at every routine service. Replace the air filter element every 45,000 km. REMOVAL 1. Park the vehicle on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and raise the hood. 2. Gently tap loose any dirt or debris from the filter. Clean the housing and air ducts as well. Take care not to allow dirt and debris to enter the air inlet to the engine. 3. Remove the clamp and take out the air filter outlet hose. 4. Unscrew the top cover mounting bolts of air filter assembly. 5. Detach the cover through hinge action. 6. Remove the air filter element.
