SUPPLEMENTARY RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) 25 CLOCK SPRING ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE ! CAUTION If this alignment is not done the clock spring may get severely damage. Rotate the clock spring rotor in clockwise direction till it reaches the maximum limit of rotation. Turn the clock spring in anticlockwise direction for 2.5 rotations from this extreme position. This will be the straight ahead position of the clock spring. The straight ahead position of the clock spring can be confirmed by arranging two arrows in front of each other as shown in figure Assemble the clock spring in this position.
