6. Remove four mounting screws of clock spring and take out the clock spring. FITMENT For fitment follow the reverse procedure of removal. CLOCK SPRING ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE Rotate the clock spring rotor in clockwise • direction till it reaches the maximum limit of rotation. Turn the clock spring in anticlockwise direction • for 2.5 rotations from this extreme position. This will be the straight ahead position of the clock springs. The straight ahead position of the clock spring • can be confirmed by arranging two arrows in front of each other. Assemble the clock spring in this position. • CAUTION Care should be taken that before fitment of clock spring, make sure that the steering wheel and the vehicle is in straight ahead position. NOTE After fitment of clock spring on Combi switch align the clock spring as follows CAUTION If this alignment is not done the clock spring may get severely damage. SRS 31
