COMPONENT/SYSTEM DO’S DON’TS maintenance. Regular quality check of refrigerant must be done (at source). AC pipes Ensure AC pipes caps are kept intact and removed only at fitment station. Do not kept AC pipe on ground or bottom shelf. Chances of dust contamination is high near ground area. Preferable keep the AC pipes on top shelf. Ensure there is no damage or cut to the O-rings provided on connections port (use two spanner one for union holding and other for tightening nut and apply recommended torque). Ensure there is no dirt entered in solenoid valve wiring port. Properly apply oil over the O-ring before fitment. For all joint between pipe and AC components tightening torque to be 6 to 8 Nm Chiller unit Ensure proper caps/ sticker is fitted to close the TxV ports mounted with Chiller. Do not rest chiller unit on solenoid valve or coolant ports. Ensure there is no damage or dent on chiller unit. Ensure there is no dirt entered in solenoid valve wiring port. Condenser Keep the fins of condenser clear from dust. Do no keep any material or load n fin surface of the condenser. Keep the port cap intact till the pipe fitment is done. Do not use sharp object to adjust the fins of condenser. This may puncture the tubes. Before assembly, check there are no damage, dents on condenser body, or fins. Prevention of Moisture in AC system Proper sealing/ caps has to be provided on Inlet and Outlet of all AC system components from part manufacturing to assembly at vehicle level. Don’t use unsealed piping or refrigeration component directly. Ensure that port cap is fitted properly on Condenser and AC so that it does not get loosed when the glider is transported from one shop/ plant to another. Don’t store critical parts like EV compressor in moisty area. FATC 36
