C. BCM REPLACEMENT STRATEGY 1. Disconnect the battery. 2. Locate the BCM ECU. Refer for location of the BCM. 3. Remove all the BCM ECU connectors. (Refer image in case Base BCM / Mid BCM) 4. Remove the old BCM ECU from bracket. 5. Fix the new BCM ECU on bracket. 6. Connect all the BCM ECU connectors into their respective sockets. (Refer image in case Base BCM /Mid BCM) 7. Ensure that all connectors are fitted tightly and properly. 8. Connect the battery. 9. Connect the diagnostic tool to OBD connector. Turn the IGN ON. 10. Read the DTCs and clear all the DTCs from 11. BCM ECU with the help of diagnostic tool. Unlock security to BCM ECU. Please follow the 12. procedure available in service tool to unlock the security access. Perform the following diagnostics activities 13. Read HW, SW part numbers and it’s version • numbers of BCM ECU and compare against server Vehicle Manufacturer Spare Part Number • (F187) ECU Application Software Number (7241) • Application Software Identification (F181) • ECU Calibration Software Number (7242) • If upgrade required or mismatch with part • numbers, then flash the BCM ECU with latest software. Afterwards follow the above step again. Learn the RKE (remote key) as per below 14. mentioned procedure a. Unlock the vehicle and open the driver door. b. Turn ON->OFF->ON Ignition 6 times within 6 seconds and observe flasher feedback. Two flashes of Left - Right indicator Lamps and Telltale outputs that indicates BCM entered into Remote key learn mode. SR. NO.
