FITMENT Follow reverse procedure for assembly. Tighten the following fasteners to the recommended torque. i) Compressor mounting. ii) Refrigerant lines on compressor. Do’s and Don'ts Use only recommended refrigerant (R134a) • and correct charge quantity (540 ± 20 gms) in the AC system Use only recommended lubricating oil for AC • compressor (Zerol Estar 68 oil) Ensure HV and LV connections of PTC heater • are properly connected Don’t remove connections of PTC heater when • it is working Always check coolant level in BCS tank • Avoid coolant leakage in BCS system • Do not change routing of coolant hoses. If hose • get pinch then coolant flow will be restricted leading to battery over heat. Compressor Speed Deration Strategies NOTE Always use compressor vibration dampers CATEGORY FAULT DESCRIPTION THRESHOLD DIAGNOSTIC STRATEGY REMARK Over temperature fault Over temperature compressor slowdown (De-ration-500 RPM each step) 95°C As per temperature protection, the controller slows down the compressor speed once the temperature (IGBT) is higher than 95 °C After 7 cycles between 105 and 95, compressors needs to be removed and checked In the field, a replaced new compressor does not reproduce the error and works OK Over temperature compressor shutdown (Cut-OFF) 105°C The controller will stop the compressor when the temperature (IGBT) is higher than 105 °C Temperature protection removal (Recovery) 90°C The temperature protection strategy is inactive when the temperature (IGBT) moves below 90 °C. After 30 seconds of temperature protection removal the compressor operates as per design intended VCU speed logic HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM (HV) 102
