ON VEHICLE SERVICE REMOVAL 1. Open Bonnet. 2. Remove the battery connection. 3.Remove headlamp. (For removal refer Electrical section) 4. Disconnect the electrical connection from the front impact sensor. 1. Loosen and remove the mounting flange bolt and take out the front impact sensor from the vehicle. FITMENT For fitment follow reverse procedure of removal. B. SIDE IMPACT SENSORS (SIS) Side Impact Sensors are positioned at the bottom side of “B Pillar” & under passenger compartment carpet on both sides of the vehicle. SIS sense the structural deformation which is caused by side impact (Side Collision) which then sends signal to SRS ECU. This helps in activating the side airbags to cushion the occupants from severe injuries.
