6. Remove both the shock absorber fasteners holding the torsion beam. 7. Now slowly release and hold the hydraulic jack pressure so that both the coil springs along with top rubber can be pulled out. 8. Remove Rear Shock Absorber top mounting nyloc nut fastener inside luggage compartment. 9. Remove Rear Shock Absorber. DISASSEMBLY OF REAR SHOCK ABSORBER 1. Remove the rubber pad and metal washer as shown. 2. Pull the plastic cover apart. 3. Pry out the bump stopper from the shock absorber as shown. 4. Check for any oil leakage in the shock absorber, if any replace the unit. Check bump stop for cracks and replace if • any. Check top rubber for cracks. • Check dust cover for damage and replace • it if any. CAUTION Do not lower the torsion beam below certain • level as the brake hoses will be damaged.
