3. TCU REPLACEMENT EEPROM NOT RECOVERABLE FROM OLD TCU 4. RESET ADAPTION (0XFDFA) Reset adaption routine is used to reset the DATASET HCU & DATASET CPC from TCU EEPROM. This routine is required when HCU is replaced inside the transmission or CPC adaption bring to default condition. 5. SAFE STATE FOR ADAPTIONS Vehicle should be in only Ignition ON state. • Vehicle should be standstill and GSL in PARK MODE (P). • 6. PROCEDURE TO EXECUTE RESET ROUTINE Before executing the routine download the EEPROM file from TCU to laptop • Click on reset DATASET HCU & DATASET CPC tab respectively • Perform a key cycle (key off and open the door -wait for 10 sec -key on and close the door). • The clutch and brake, require an adaption procedure where the clutch and brake’s actuation kisspoint and preload is determined and stored on the TCU EEPROM memory. This procedure runs mainly on the TCU, after giving the specific CPC adaption request. 7. SAFE STATE FOR ADAPTIONS Vehicle should be standstill and GSL in PARK MODE (P). • Brake pedal should be 100% pressed. • Air Conditioner (AC) should be OFF. • Critical DTC reaction should not be active. • 8. PRE-CONDITIONS FOR ADAPTIONS Transmission oil temperature should be in the range 30-90 Deg C • Engine speed range 800-1500 Approx. • GSL position in Park. • 9. ADAPTION FAIL CONDITION Safe state not maintained during adaption process • Pre-Condition not maintained during adaption process • ADAPTION ABORT CONDITION 10. Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) 30
