NEW NEXON SERVICE MANUAL

1. INTRODUCTION This document describes the general functioning and capabilities of Punch Powertrain’s Double Clutch Transmission, ‘DCT - DT1’ on a transmission system level, regardless the specification and limitations of the powertrain, when used in an application. For the application specifications, please consult the appropriate document “Project specific DCT specification”. This document provides the overview of the DCT as a system serving as the linkage between engine and the front wheel drive shafts in a transverse mounted FWD powertrain. It provides details like physical dimensions, application domain, architecture, efficiency, etc. Thus this document provides all the necessary details to understand and evaluate the DCT for its performance and efficiency including a description about subsystem/components, functions and control strategies. The DT1 Transmission of Punch Powertrain is intended to be used as a component in vehicle applications with the following properties: Front Wheel Drive • Transverse mounted powertrain • Automatic Transmission • Further in this document, details about the specifications & performance have been detailed along with the constrains where this transmission is suitable to use. This would help to clarify the applications where it could be used and also facilitates system level quantification of the performance. Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) 1
