4. Fit the valve seats, valve retainers and using special tool compress the valve springs and place the spring lock halves. 5. The lock halves hold the spring retainer in place when relieving pressure applied by the spring compressor. 6. Repeat the same procedure for all valves. 7. Install the roller finger follower and hydraulic lash adjuster assemblies. FITMENT OF PISTON AND CONNECTING II. ROD SUB-ASSEMBLIES 1. Fit Piston Oil Ring, Piston Second Ring and Piston Top Ring respectively as shown. 2. Install the Connecting Rod and Insert Piston Pin.
