DESCRIPTION Proper maintenance of the air filter is essential for vehicle performance and fuel economy. The air filter element removes foreign material such as dust, dirt, and other material from the intake air, thereby preventing the engine from damage due to contaminated air. Inspect and clean the air filter element at every routine service. Replace the air filter element as per service schedule. REMOVAL 1. Park the vehicle on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and raise the hood. 2. Unscrew the top three mounting bolts of air filter assembly & one locator point at back side. 3.
