FRONT AND REAR REVERSE PARK 20. ASSIST SYSTEM (IF APPLICABLE) A. FRONT AND REVERSE PARK ASSIST SYSTEM DETAILS 1. PARK ASSIST Park Assist System is an electronic parking aid that assist you to park vehicle safely when in reverse gear mode. It also provides front part assist (if equipped) if your vehicle speed is below 10Kmph and Front part assist option is enabled through infotainment screen. It provides audio, visual information through vehicle infotainment system. Select this feature in infotainment display to see any obstacle behind/front of the vehicle. Park Assist is useful while you are parking the vehicle in congested and close parking area. 2. PARK ASSIST FUNCTIONALITY OVERVIEW There are 2 ultrasonic sensors placed on the Front & Rear bumper of the vehicle. Once Park Assist system is activated, sensors will start detecting the proximity of an obstacle approximately at 25cm to120cm from the rear bumper and gives the proximity information to Infotainment music system in the form of audio and visual information. For low variant vehicles where Head unit is not present, only audio warning shall be given through a buzzer. The system displays the Park assist screen when the reverse gear is engaged. The display is stopped when the reverse gear is disengaged. Front park assist option can be enabled through Infotainment screen. Go to “Setting -> Driver Assistance -> Front Park Assist. Deactivation Condition 1. System will stop, if reverse gear is disengaged. 2. If vehicle is speed is above 10Kmph. 3. If started through infotainment, the system can be stopped using a Front Park Assist option on infotainment screen. Option I Option II NOTE 0-25cm obstacle detection performance is • not guaranteed due to ultrasonic sensor technology limitation.
