IX. REMOVAL OF CYLINDER BLOCK SUBASSEMBLIES 1. Lock the balancer shaft in the bedplate using a locking bolt as shown below. 2. Remove the two mounting counter sunk screw and take out the thrust washer. 3. Remove the Balancer Mass with locating pin in balancer shaft by removing the mounting bolt. 4. Remove the locking bolt and take out the balancer shaft from the bedplate as indicated. 5. Remove the mounting fasteners holding the connecting rod bearing caps. Petrol Engine Ph-2 (CAFÉ) 137
