9. Take out fuel filler assembly along with breather from body shell. INSPECTION Check if dust has blocked the 2 way cap, change cap if found defective. FITMENT Follow the reverse order of removal for fitment. FUEL TANK REMOVAL 1. Place the vehicle in a 2 poster lift. 2. Disconnect the electrical connections of the intank pump and the fuel lines. (For Removal Refer Tank Unit removal process). 3. Disconnect the fuel filler hose and the breather hose. 4. Support the fuel tank from below. 5. Remove the four mounting bolts from tank and lower the tank carefully. INSPECTION Check all hoses and pipes connected to fuel • tank for leaks, loose connections, deterioration or damage. Replace if necessary. Check fuel pump and fuel level gauge gaskets • for leaks, cracks etc. Replace if necessary. Visually inspect fuel tank for leaks and damage. • Replace if necessary. Check TPV for dust accumulation. Clean if • required. FITMENT Follow the reverse order of removal for fitment. WARNING A small amount of fuel may be released after • fuel lines are disconnected. To avoid the chance of injury, cover the pipe to be disconnected with cotton cloth. Do not use cotton waste..
