ELECTRICAL 20 N. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REPLACEMENT STRATEGY IC is having two types of replacement Strategy based on the replaced IC status. 1. IPC Replacement Strategy when IPC is functioning: This Strategy shall be used when the replaced IC is fully Functional and No RAM/Micro damage. This is Simple Strategy will be executed with single command, no user intervention is required to Configuring the IC & writing the Odometer. 2. IPC Replacement Strategy when IPC is failed: This Strategy shall be used when the replaced IC is fully damaged including RAM/Micro. This Strategy includes user intervention for Configuring the IC. NOTE: Cluster must be disconnected from vehicle only when Battery is disconnected, and KEY is taken out. Battery shall be reconnected only when new cluster is fitted on the vehicle. O. ENGINEERING TEST MODE (ETM) This mode helps to check cluster gauges, DIS, Tell-tales and software version. It can be activated using SET and MODE switches. Like Make the IGN OFF and press the both the SET and MODE button at a time and make the IGN ON after self check time cluster will enter into engineering test mode.
