IX. REMOVAL OF CYLINDER BLOCK SUBASSEMBLIES 1. Lock the balancer shaft in the bedplate using a locking bolt (5715 0310 9904) as shown below. 2. Remove the two mounting counter sunk screw and take out the thrust washer. 3. Remove the Balancer Mass with locating pin in balancer shaft by removing the mounting bolt. 4. Remove the locking bolt and take out the balancer shaft from the bedplate as indicated. 5. Remove the mounting nuts holding the connecting rod bearing caps. 6. Remove the bearing shell from bearing cap. 7. Turn crankshaft to bring piston to top dead center. NOTE While removing each bearing shell, mark on its back in case of reuse. Connecting rods have to be assembled to the respective bearing caps, matching with serial numbers 1.2L REVOTRON CNG PHASE-2 ENGINE 173
