1.2L REVOTRON ENGINE 41 TIMING CORRECTION / ADJUSTING PROCEDURE CAUTION If timing chain is removed when cylinder head is in assembled on block, Do not rotate the crankshaft and camshafts independently, It may damage the valves. 1. Rotate the crankshaft 90° so that the piston will not touch any of valve. 2. Rotate camshaft to face upward direction. 3. Tighten damper bolt and rotate crankshaft to adjust the marking at bottom most position. NOTE Ensure the flywheel is not locked. 4. Rotate both camshafts to align. Ensure the direction of the arrows opposite to each other 5. Now place the chain over on both VCT’s in such a way that the 3 copper color links of chain matches with the dimple marks of all the 3 sprockets respectively as shown.
