Reason for C–EPS Light / Indicator ON in Cluster • C- EPS system function problem. • C- EPS OHP control. • Non OEM electronic fitment issue may affect C-EPS functional system. • Wiring harness connection issue • Basic action if the C-EPS indicator light ON. • Stop the vehicle in safe zone and restart the Vehicle after 5 mins. • If the indicator light on and stay on immediately follow the below check points. • SR NO Parameter Check Points Observation/Action by Dealership 1 Customer voice Collect details from end user for 1. complaint condition / field failure phenomena. Check for when, how, where, etc., 2. 2 Test drive vehicle Check for steering feeling hard 1. Check in static / dynamic condition. 2. 3 Warning lamp check Check for steering light ON in cluster (PS 1. light) Ensure continuous glow 2. 4 DTC check Check for DTC with Diagnostic tool. 1. Ensure DTC in active condition. 2. 5 Wiring harness Check CEPS ECU wiring connectors 1. locked properly (Power, CAN, Tq. Sensor & Motor connectors) Ensure any damage / tamper 2. 6 DTC check Again check for DTC with Diagnostic tool. 1. Ensure DTC in active condition 2. 7 Visual inspection Check for CEPS / ECU related wiring 1. damage. Free from tamper / damage / liquid 2. traces. 8 Visual inspection Check for other additional fitments. 1. Ensure no extra electronic fitments in 2. vehicle connected with power supply with ECU. Electronics like Music player, D/L lighting, 3. GPS, Parking assistance, Reverse camera, etc., 9 Visual inspection Check for CEPS free from damage. 1. Check vehicle RO history. 2. 10 DTC check Check for Vehicle ECU DTC 1. Ensure CAN signal. 2. STEERING (MANDO) 33
