DO’S Lift steering gear by holding mountings / body 1. cylinder only. Store / transport steering gear resting on body 2. / cylinder only. Use steering gears on ‘first in first out’ basis. 3. If any steering gear is dropped, inspect for 4. damage before using. If any bellow is found damaged, replace it 5. immediately with a good part & with proper position of clips If any bellow clip is found missing, do not use 6. the defective steering gear. Instead use another new steering gear If the steering gear is off the vehicle, all ports 7. should be covered with protective plugs to avoid contamination. Do use steering puller to avoid capsule collapse 8. & column serration damage. Image for illustration purpose only Do use proper packed parts & ensure for 9. collapse marking not disturbed. Handle part with care and not to fall down the 10. parts. NOTE Bellow is a seal. Do not use sharp tools near bellows if it can damage bellows.
