IGNITION KEY 11. IGNITION REMOTE KEY (IF APPLICABLE) A. An E-Key is an electronic access and authorization system which is provided as a standard feature on your vehicle. Vehicle is provided with two E-Keys. Each Key is specific to the immobilizer of vehicle. FUNCTIONAL DETAILS Unlock 1. Unlocking principle: The transponder which is built into the ignition EKey carries a unique identification code. The vehicle unlocks when the code on the E-Key matches with the code on the Engine Management system (VCU). Engine Starting: When the key is inserted and the ignition is switched ON, all codes are communicated within concerned components (E-Key, Immobilizer and VCU). The engine will start only if all the codes match. KEY SPECIFICATION Operating temperature range (with battery): - • 10C to +60C.
