ECU - On Vehicle Removal, Inspection and • Re-fitment Procedure Removal Procedure : • Remove negative terminal of battery. 1. Pull out the lock of the ECU coupler. 2. Remove the earthing terminal of ECU. 3. Remove the Mounting screws of the ECU. 4. Inspection • Check whether any pins are damaged / bent. Re-fitment procedure • Place ECU in proper position. 1. Tighten the mounting screws of the ECU. 2. Connect the Earth connection of the ECU. 3. Connect the coupler of the ECU. 4. Pull the coupler to check proper fitment. 5. Connect the battery negative terminal. 6. FLYWHEEL LEARNING PROCEDURE : • Start the vehicle and keep the vehicle in idle. 1. Rev up the engine rpm from idle to 4000 rpm 2. and leave the acc. Pedal so that engine will come to idle. Repeat the same procedure for 5 times. One important condition for flywheel learning is 3. Engine coolant temperature should be above 60 Deg C. There is no physical representation in the 4. instrument cluster (like CEL or MIL indication). PRECAUTION Ensure that the removed terminal is away from the battery negative post. PRECAUTION Ensure proper alignment of the ECU and harness coupler. NOTE While replacing ECU or target wheel the flywheel learning is essential. ENGINE 1.2L BSVI PHASE-2 156
