FATC 57 18. DO’s & DONT’s Component/System Do's Don'ts EV Compressor Hold the compressor properly with both hands (Plane surface should be on top side). Do not rest the compressor on the suction/discharge ports. Keep the suction and discharge port cap intact till compressor is being assembled on gliders/vehicle. Do not rest the compressor on HV/LV wiring ports or control units. Use correct hardware/power tools to mount the compressor at intended locations. Do not keep ports of compressor open for long duration of time. Before assembly, check there are no damage or dents on compressor body. Mount the compressor properly by applying appropriate torque values. Apply 11+/- 1 Nm torque on Suction and Discharge pipes for tightening. Compressor mounting on bracket torque to be 12 to 14 Nm. Use only recommended lubricating oil for AC compressor (POE RL68H oil). HVAC unit Mount the HVAC unit properly by applying appropriate torque values. Do not remove the cap/seal from TxV ports until is AC pipes is being fitted. Ensure air filter is not very dirty. Clean/Replace the air filter if needed. Ensure there is no blockage for entering through fresh intake mode. Ensure drain tube is properly fitted and appropriately routed outside vehicle BIW. Ensure proper cap/seal is fitted on TxV ports. AC gas filling process Ensure refrigerant charging ports are dust free before refrigeration charging adapter is connected. Do not try to forcefully fit charging adapters on ports. Ensure only recommended quantity of AC gas is filed in the AC system (Nexon EV 580 ± 20 grams). Do not leave charging port cap open after gas filling process is completed. The charging machine must undergo regular calibration check and maintenance. Regular quality check of refrigerant must be done (at source).
